- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Licensing observed the following: - Visibly dirty sink and diaper change pad - Clutter in the kitchen area where children have access - Dog feces in main play space identified by the children - removed a few minutes later by Licensee
Corrective action. Please ensure a clean space at all times while children are in attendance

- HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.
Observation. Licensing observed that children did not wash hands prior to eating snack. Hands were washed by individuals on some occasions after eating.
Corrective action. Please ensure children are instructed in good hygiene practices.
15030 - CCLR s.46(1) - OR SUPERVISION
A licensee must ensure that children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult.
Observation. Licensing observed that the children were supervised by a person not qualified as a responsible adult while the Manager went to collect a child from school. Manager said that this is a regular practice.
Corrective action. Please ensure that children are continually supervised by the manager. Please povide a compliance plan to Licensing.
14060 - CCLR s.39(1) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (k) the date on which the child stops attending the community care facility.
Observation. Licensing observed more than one file of children no longer attending. These didn't contain dates for when the children stopped attending.
Corrective action. Please ensure records are accurate at all times.
