A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. The following was observed outdoors: - latch on the gate at the top of the stairs was broken - grass was unkempt

Corrective action. Ensure the outdoor area is maintained.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. Six child files were reviewed, one did not have MSP number.

Corrective action. Obtain the above information.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. Six child files were reviewed, two did not have doctor information and one did not have an emergency contact.

Corrective action. Obtain the above information.

In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (a) keep in a single place at the community care facility the records referred to in sections 56 to 58.

Observation. One child file was not accessible on site.

Corrective action. Ensure child files are on site.
