A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. While on site, the following was noted: -Currently the facility is only using a cleaner on the tables, no sanitizer. Discussed the need for using sanitizer after cleaning the tables. -There is a cleaning spray stored on a counter, accessible to the children. Manager stated that it was left on the counter by the school janitorial staff. Discussion had about keeping such sprays out of reach.

Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before September 22, 2025

A licensee must have in writing from a parent, and maintain at the community care facility, consent (a) to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness if the parent cannot immediately be reached.

Observation. 5 children's files reviewed, one child was missing medical consent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident.

Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before September 22, 2025

A licensee must ensure that each employee (a) is trained in the implementation of the fire drill system and emergency plan described in subsection (1), including the use of any equipment noted in the fire drill system and emergency plan.

Observation. Manager did not know where the designated emergency location was for the daycare.

Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before September 22, 2025
