A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.
Observation. There is a small storage shed in the Infant/Toddler yard that is showing signs of peeling paint, rotting wood, gaps between the pieces of wood. The paint chips are falling onto the ground in the play space, the rotting wood have exposed pieces that could cause splinters if touched.
Corrective action. The Manager explained they have requested to have the shed removed from the yard as it is not needed. Please provide an update when able to.
