  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Diaper changing pad visibly dirty.

  Corrective action. Ensure to maintain facility's equipment.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. LO observed and discussed the following with the Manager: - Outdoor play space: backyard gate (facility's main entrance) does not close or locks completely.

  Corrective action. Ensure that door is fixed, so that it can be properly closed/locked while children are in care and using the outdoor play area.

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. Emergency supplies are insufficient to implement the emergency plan.

  Corrective action. Ensure that sufficient emergency supplies are available on site.

  Observation. The fire extinguisher was due to be serviced in July 2022.

  Corrective action. Ensure the fire extinguisher is serviced before the due date every year.

  A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are (a) of sturdy and safe construction, easy to clean and free from hazards.

  Observation. There is a small red couch that has a hole in it

  Corrective action. Ensure all furniture is in good repair

  A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are (a) of sturdy and safe construction, easy to clean and free from hazards.

  Observation. Some of the mats used for sleeping are torn and cannot be sanitized effectively.

  Corrective action. Ensure sleep equipment is in good repair and can be sanitized properly.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. The diaper change mat needs to be replaced as it is torn and cannot be disinfected appropriately.

  Corrective action. Ensure all surfaces can be sanitized effectively
