EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): An unsecured electrical cord accessible to children in the Under 36 months naproom posing a strangulation hazard.
Corrective action. The staff removed the cord and discussed alternate ways of providing music in the nap space.

HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A staff member was observed not changing their gloves in between diaper changes.
Corrective action. Discussed rules of hand hygiene during diaper changes, the staff changed gloves before moving forward.
