Observation. It was alleged that on July 23, 2026 the facility did not follow their own policy regarding wildfire smoke and outdoor play. Follow up to this complaint included review of facility policies and correspondence, interview with the facility manager and written information provided by the facility manager. As a result of the review of facility documents and the information provided by the manager, it appears the facility did not follow their policy related to outdoor play and wildfire smoke on one occasion. It is important for facilities to follow their policies to create a consistent and reliable practice for all staff and ensure that parents are aware of facility operations. Submit a compliance plan to address this issue on or before August 14, 2026.

Observation. The Licensing Officer noted the presence of landscape fabric positioned above the surfacing material. This posed a potential tripping hazard for children in care. During the inspection, the Manager remedied the issue by removing the fabric. The non-compliance was deemed corrected at that time, and no further action is necessary.
