Observation. Some staff files are incomplete. Items missing included a criminal record clearance letter, certificate validations, and characters references. Incomplete staff records may increase risk to children. Submit to licensing by January 26, 2026, evidence the missing items have been collected and are in the staff files.

Observation. One staff file was not at the facility at time of inspection. It is a requirement that facility records referred to in Sections 56 to 58 of the child care licensing regulation are kept in a single place in the facility so they can be inspected. Submit to licensing by January 26, 2026, evidence the missing staff file in complete and located at the facility. A reportable incident that occurred on August 10, 2025 was not reported to licensing. The licensee must report all incidents that meet the definition of a reportable incidents as outlined in Schedule H of the child care licensing regulation. Submit to licensing by January 26, 2026, evidence that the reportable incident has been submitted to licensing using the reportable incident portal.

Observation. The large plastic climber located in the multi-age outdoor play space is placed against the parameter chain link fence causing a potential risk of children climbing over the parameter fence and falling. Submit to licensing by January 26, 2026, evidence the identified risk has been mitigated.

Observation. An epi pen for a child with a sever allergy is expired. Expired medication puts the child who requires the medication at risk in an emergency. Submit to licensing by January 26, 2026, evidence the expired epi pen has been replaced.

Observation. It was observed that the carpet located in the Multi-Age Child Care classroom is torn and buckling in some areas which poses a tripping hazard. It was observed that the laminate flooring located in the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) classroom has wide moveable gaps in some areas which poses a pinching and tripping hazard.

Observation. One care plan has not been reviewed yearly. This was resolved during the inspection. Ensure a system for reviewing care plans yearly is developed.

Observation. Some children's records are incomplete. Please ensure all information on children's records are complete. A child's care plan has not been updated since 2021. Care plans must be reviewed at least once per year as per Section 58 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation.

Observation. One staff person's criminal record check has expired. The licensee has since provided proof of submission that a renewal has been done and has also submitted a satisfactory plan for supervised coverage in the interim while they wait for the renewed CRC to arrive.
