• C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

  Observation. Children were observed to clean their hands with wet wipes before eating lunch. Wet wipes are not as effective as cleaning and rinsing hands with soap and running water. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to establish a program to instruct children in and practice the rules of health and hygiene. A response is required by June 19, 2025 that outlines how hand washing will be conducted.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. One person who is ordinarily present does not have a valid criminal record check on file. Valid criminal record checks are required for any person who is ordinarily present during daycare hours of operation. Outline the system developed to ensure criminal record checks are maintained and valid.

  Observation. A tall storage shelf in the living room is not secure to the wall and can be moved easily.

  Observation. The Licensee is operating with an expired first aid and CPR certificate.

  Observation. A review of children's records found two missing MSP numbers.

  Observation. A system for ensuring the fridge temperature is at or below 4 degrees Celsius needs to be developed.

  Observation. Observed hot water to exceed 49 degrees Celsius. To reduce risk of scalding injury, please notify Licensing of method implemented to reduce temperature of water. Discussed that if lower temperatures affect family functioning, a temperature regulator may be installed on sinks children have access to.
