  Observation. Snacks are provided daily; however, there is no record demonstrating how parents are informed of the food and drinks provided to their children. Parents must be informed of any food or beverages given to their child while in care. Submit written confirmation by July 30, 2026, outlining how parents will be informed of the food and drinks provided to their children.

• CR1.2 - Is the facility's radon gas level in compliance with the 200 Bq/m³ limit?Non-critical

  Observation. Radon test results obtained in 2024 were identified as unacceptable. In October 2025, a mitigation plan was submitted that included opening windows, operating the furnace fan to circulate air, sealing water traps, and installing an Active Soil Depressurization (ASD) system. Radon re-testing was reported to have occurred during the cooler months (November to April); however, the results of this testing have not been provided for review. Submit the radon re-testing results by August 28, 2026, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the mitigation measures and confirm that radon levels are within acceptable limits.

  Observation. The illness log could not be located. The Illness log is required to be maintained at the facility and made available for review within a reasonable timeframe upon request. Submit written confirmation by July 30, 2026, that the illness log have been located and are available for review at the facility.

  Observation. Attendance records were reviewed, and child absences were not recorded. The Licensee is required to keep attendance records including if a child is absent. Submit by July 31, 2025, written confirmation and evidence that all absences are being recorded.

• CR1.2 - Is the facility's radon gas level in compliance with the 200 Bq/m³ limit?Non-critical

  Observation. Testing was conducted from January 28, 2023 to April 29, 2023. The radon gas levels were recorded at 263 Bm/m3. Radon levels are unacceptable. A short-term mitigation plan was required to be submitted by June 27, 2024. No short-term mitigation plan was received; therefore, this contravention is still outstanding. Exposure to radon gas poses a risk to the health and wellbeing of children. Submit by August 07, 2025 a short term and long term mitigation plan on how you will reduce children's exposure to radon gas.

  Observation. There was no record of the fire drill being practiced in the month of June.

  Observation. Children had access to items with a warning label of "keep out of reach of children". This was corrected during the inspection.
