All required employee records, including complete immunization status, must be obtained and documented prior to an employee beginning work with children. Submit written confirmation by May 19, 2026, that the employee’s immunization record is updated to include COVID-19 status.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

    Observation. Items labeled by the manufacturer as “keep out of reach of children,” including bingo dabbers and sunscreen, are accessible to children. Hazardous materials and products with manufacturer safety warnings must be stored securely and kept out of reach of children. Submit written confirmation by May 19, 2026, that all hazardous items are no longer accessible to children and are being stored in accordance with safety requirements.

  • C9.1 - Are there plans and actions in place to ensure medications are stored and administered properly?Non-critical

    Observation. Medication required for a child with an identified health condition has recently expired. Expired medication may be less effective and can delay appropriate treatment in an emergency, posing a significant risk to the child’s health and safety. Submit written confirmation by May 19, 2026, that all medications are current and not expired to ensure they are safe and effective for use.

  • C10.1 - Are children provided with a healthy and safe environment, and protected from harmful actions?Non-critical

    Observation. An employee was observed carrying a school-aged child down the hallway because the child was taking too long to return to the classroom. Behaviour guidance must be respectful, appropriate to the child’s age and development, and support the child’s dignity and independence. Submit written confirmation by May 15, 2026, that all staff use appropriate behaviour guidance strategies that promote positive guidance and respect for children.
