  Observation. A cupboard in the bathroom containing cleaning supplies was accessible to children. This poses a health and safety risk to children. Ensure that cleaning supplies are not accessible. Submit a response to Licensing with Evidence of compliance by April 1, 2026.

  Observation. A record of fire drills for the current year (2026) was not available to be reviewed at the time if this inspection. The Licensee indicates that the drills have been practiced monthly. Ensure that a record of practiced fire drills is maintained and available for review by Licensing. Submit a response to Licensing with evidence of compliance by April 1, 2026.

  Observation. Contact information for a medical practitioner was not recorded for 2 children. This information is required by legislation. Ensure child records are complete and contain the information outlined in section 57 of the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Submit a response to Licensing with evidence of compliance by April 1, 2026.

  Observation. Radon results have not been provided for this facility.

• C10.2 - Are children supervised, and are employee to children ratios maintained?Critical

  Observation. Children were not receiving continuous supervision. The Licensee has some children sleeping in the upper level and other children in the lower level of the home.

• C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical

  Observation. The Licensee is using the backyard on a regular bases during winter. This space is not licensed and the Licensee has not provided a notification of change to Licensing.

  Observation. One of the mattresses used for rest time is in poor condition. A child was upstairs on their own, and had access to hazardous items, such as sharp knives, cleaning products etc.

  Observation. Parents are not informed of the food given to children by the Licensee.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. The arrival and departure times are not being recorded for each child. The Licensee's own children are not recorded on the attendance sheet. Some digital images are older and are no longer a good likeness of the child. Outdoor play space logs are still not being completed. This contravention is outstanding from 07-May-2021.

• C10.1 - Are children provided with a healthy and safe environment, and protected from harmful actions?Non-critical

  Observation. An unwell child was not receiving close supervision, as the child was alone up stairs.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Licensing checked the staffing file for the substitute staff member and found the immunization record, work history and criminal record check to be missing.

  Observation. The Licensee is not keeping a record of minor incidents occurring to the children in care. There were no daily, monthly, or annual inspection logs being completed for the off-site outdoor play space.
