    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. Licensing Officer observed the following: -lower half of the facility walls appear to be in poor repair. The paint on the walls is chipped exposing the drywall. -safety latches on three cupboards are broken making the cupboards accessible to children -in the outdoor play space, the children's play equipment which includes the trucks, riding toys and two water tables appear to be dirty, soiled and have a build up of mildew.

    Observation. Licensing Officer observed documentation for the implementation of the fire drill system has been practiced at least once each month however there was no evidence observed for the implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year.

    Observation. Licensing observed an unsecured cupboard under the kitchen sink containing a variety of chemicals hazardous to children. It appeared that the current safety lock had broken and requires replacing.

    Play materials and/or equipment are not safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)(b)]

    Observation. In the outdoor play area, Licensing observed a plastic riding car to be broken and not in good repair. This was brought up to the attention of the educators, and after seeing it could not be fixed, the educators removed it from the play area.

    Observation. Licensing observed a large amount of dry tree debris on the ground that could be harmful to children. Licensee stated that these would be cleaned up over the weekend. Licensing also observed multiple places (ride toys, sandbox toys, water table) with dirty standing water, which was dumped after the children began to use the materials.
