  Observation. LO observed that a care plan for a child with an anaphylaxis allergy has not been updated and is not current.

  Observation. LO observed that 2 staff do not have immunization status on file.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry [CCLR Sec. 19(4)(a)]

  Observation. LO observed that 1 staff has an ECEA certificate, however it has not been verified.

  Information on the food and drink given to children is made available to parents. [CCLR Sec. 48(6)]

  Observation. In the past, the menu was posted within the facility. But, as parents do not enter the centre the information has not be shared with parents. Manager and LO discussed options to share information on food and drink with parents.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. Children's files were complete, except 10 were missing immunization. Manager stated that some of the immunization status information was received by Licensee and has to be printed for files, and they will follow up with the remaining few missing.

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. The manager explained that there is a new staff on site, and while some information has been emailed to her, she is still waiting for more documents. LO stated that the Manager can forward the documents within 24 hours. These documents were not received within 24 hours.

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. Fire extinguisher in room is expired, as are the extinguishers in the school hallways.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. This is a recurring contravention - there are two children with care plans, only one of which includes medication. There is no permission to administer medication form with the Epi pen. LO has included a copy of our care plan and a permission to administer medication for with this report. These are samples that you can use or include this information on your own form.

  Observation. Routine follow up inspection - June 30 - LO reviewed children's files and observed that the Manager has photos of all the children on her phone - which is accessible. But there were still 5 children's records that do not include immunization status. Routine follow up inspection - February 1 During today's visit LO observed the following: -emergency contact information is not kept for 1 child -a photo or digital image is not kept for 1 child -immunization status is not kept for 12 children Routine inspection - November 30 LO observed that children's records are incomplete

  The fire drill system is displayed in a prominent place. [CCLR Sec. 22(3)]

  Observation. As observed during the previous routine inspection LO observed that a fire drill system is not displayed in the facility. During today's visit LO observed that the fire drill system is displayed in the facility however the sheet is blank. This issue remains in non-compliance.

  Observation. LO observed that 2 children with life threatening allergies who require an epi-pen did not have a request for administration of medication form completed
