  Observation. LO observed that the bathroom countertop in one classroom was broken and had sharp edges. The countertop is no longer in good repair or free from hazards.

  Observation. LO observed that 2 classrooms had unsecured cupboards with cleaning supplies that were accessible to the children in care.

  Prior to employing staff the manager has met with each person and has obtained the appropriate documentation. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)]

  Observation. Comments from previous inspection: LO observed that one staff has an expired ECE certificate on file. Manager stated that all documentation has been provided to the ECE registry and they are waiting for the staff's new certificate to be issued. During today's visit manager stated that the staff's ECE certificate has not been received yet.

  Observation. LO observed that the floor in the front entryway of the facility was slippery due to water and snow/slush being tracked inside.

  Observation. During today's inspection LO observed that one area of classroom JK3 still appears cluttered with various items/bins stored on the floor. We also discussed options for storing children's nap things as an alternative to keeping them in bags stored in a pile on the floor.

  Observation. LO observed that one area of classroom JK3 appeared cluttered and in need of a cleanup. The floor and counter contained messy art materials, a storage bin, and various plastic bags. LO observed that walls in several of the classroom areas, particularly in washrooms, appeared soiled and in need of a cleaning.
