  Observation. Employee records were reviewed and one employee did not have a criminal record check or immunization status in their employee file.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. A black plastic pipe is protruding from pea gravel near the outdoor climber. This pipe is a trip hazard.

• C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical

  Observation. The Licensee did not inform Licensing of a change of Manager. The Licensee corrected this prior to the inspection report being sent. No action required.

• C3.2 - Are persons qualified and appropriately replaced?Critical

  Observation. There was no record that early childhood educator certificates have been validated.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. A reportable incident was not reported to Licensing. The Licensee corrected this prior to the inspection report being sent. No action required. There is no log being recorded of the daily play space checks.

  Observation. An employee file was missing character references in respect to the person, a record of the person's work history, and evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization control program.

  Observation. A large red soft fall mat in front of the indoor slide was in poor repair, the internal foam was accessible to children. On 13-Feb-2020 the Manager confirmed via email and photo that the red mat has been removed and replaced.
