  A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Upon inspection, Licensing observed the water temperature to be 54.7 degrees Celcius

  Corrective action. The Licensee turned off the hot water but said she will look into installing a temperature regulator to allow for warm water while keeping the water temperature below 49 degrees Celcius

  Observation. Licensing observed that the emergency drill had not been practiced or recorded

  Observation. Licensing observed an abuse/neglect policy, however, there was no policy on reportable incidents.

  Observation. Insufficient emergency food supplies. This is a repeat contravention to inspection #KTKK-C79RZM. Licensing had a discussion about creating a system to ensure sufficient amounts of emergency food supplies

  Corrective action. Licensee must have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. During the routine inspection it was observed that the change mat in the bathroom had two tears in it and the sponge was showing.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the equipment is in good repair while children are in attendance.

  A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

  Observation. During the routine inspection it was noted that the water temperature was measuring 51 degrees Celsius. Licensee stated that she watched the children washing their hands and the children cannot access the hot water.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the hot water is heated to no more than 49 degrees Celsius.

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. During the routine inspection of the emergency supplies it was observed that one package of granola bars has expired in 2022. Licensee removed the expired package from the emergency supplies kit. The emergency supplies kit contained another package of granola bars and this package was in good condition and not yet expired.

  Corrective action. Please ensure you have enough food to prepare, mitigate, respond and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. During the routine inspection the policies and procedures were reviewed. it was noted that the facility did not have a safe release policy. Upon discussion it was evident that the licensee appeared to know the procedure for safe release of children, however a policy regarding safe release was not available.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a written policy for safe release of children is available to parents and staff.

  Observation. Emergency Supplies are insufficient to implement the emergency plan

  Observation. Upon inspection, children's departure is not being recorded.

  Corrective action. Please ensure there is a record, for each child, that shows the daily attendance record indicating, for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. fire extinguisher has yet to be serviced, licensee stated that they were told that it could not be serviced as it was a single item

  Corrective action. please ensure the fire extinguisher is replace or serviced to ensure compliance with the CCLR
