  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Foam is exposed on corners of several bed mats making them difficult to sanitize.

  Corrective action. The manger will ensure foam is not exposed on bed mats.

• STAFFING

  The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

  Observation. A criminal record check for one person over the age of 12 who lives at this address has expired.

  Corrective action. The manager will submit an application for a new criminal record check today.

  Observation. Licensing observed there to be no record of the annual evacuation drill

  Corrective action. The Licensee said they practice it yearly but forgot to record it.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Upon review of the attendance records, there were 3 departure times not recorded in the last 6 months.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the departure times are recorded.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Observation. Upon review of 1 child's file, the name and contact number of the doctor was not recorded.
