  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the fire extinguisher was expired, therefore had not been serviced annually

  Corrective action. The Licensee said she thought it had been done and would take it in to be serviced as soon as possible

  Observation. Licensing observed references were missing from one of the staff files

  Corrective action. The Licensee said the references had been checked but not put in the file

  Observation. the door for the water heater wont close properly and the water heater is partially accessible

  Observation. the gate for the outside stairs is missing was destroyed during a wind storm, the landscape cloth is creating a tripping hazard

  Corrective action. please ensure the above are repaired or addressed

(Educator or assistant certificate validation)

  Observation. Licensing observed that 2 staff files were missing evidence of a licence validation. Education was provided and the manager completed the validation for 1 staff file during the inspection.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that educators or assistant certificate are verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry

  Observation. Upon inspection, the water in the bathroom was 56.9 degrees Celsius.

  Corrective action. Please ensure any water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49 degrees Celsius.
