  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Upon inspection, Licensing observed there to be multiple cords that were accessible to the children hanging down in the nap room - Upon inspection, Licensing observed an outlet with no protective cover and a hanging cord accessible to the children in the kitchen area

  Corrective action. The Manager secured the cords out of reach and installed an outlet plug cover.

  Observation. In the outdoor area, licensing observed a pest dective box that is accessible to children.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

  Observation. Licensing observed compliance with monthly fire drill record, although no record of completing the annual emergency drill for 2022. The Manager confirmed that emergency drills were not conducted.

  Corrective action. A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2)(b) and (c)

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.

  Observation. No care plan available for a child who has medication.

  Corrective action. Please ensure there is a care plan for each child that includes the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support.

• LICENSING

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Observation. Upon inspection, the managers name was not posted.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the name of the manager is posted in a prominent place in the community care facility.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. Criminal Record Check on file is not site specific.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the criminal record is site specific for all staff.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. the wooden decking is showing signs of deterioration , some of the pieces of wood are splintering

  Corrective action. please ensure the deck is replaced or repaired and a plan is provided to CCFL as to what will be done

  Observation. the temp of the fridge was measured at 9 Degrees C. it should be between 0-4 degrees C

  Corrective action. please adjust the fridge temp and monitor daily to ensure it is in the proper temp range
