  Observation. Licensing observed that criminal record check for individual who lived at the premise was not yet obtained. Licensing provided Licensee with criminal record check application forms and discussed options available to submit criminal record check request.

  Corrective action. Ensure that there are criminal record checks completed for persons over the age of 12 who are ordinarily present at the facility.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the stationary bouncy buggy car was moved to the grass and that the teeter tooter was on concrete. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. Licensee stated that the teeter tooter would not be used by children in care until a suitable place could be found. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

  Corrective action. Ensure that equipment is not installed over concrete, asphalt or other hard surfaces.

• A 1.8 metre (6 feet) clearance around equipment is considered safest

  Observation. Licensing observed that pieces of elevated equipment were clustered close together and in close proximity to the shed. Licensee stated that recently mowed the lawn and had moved the equipment around.

  Corrective action. Ensure that there is a six foot clearance around equipment which is considered safest.

  Observation. Licensing observed 8 children in care/ratio during the inspection. During the Inspection the Licensee had her son leave the facility until a child was picked up to meet compliance.

  Corrective action. Ensure that children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing observed a swing on the upper deck that didn't have 6 foot clearance around it and a castle climber in the outdoor play space that only had 3 foot clearance in front. While on site, the Licensee removed the swing.
