  • A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

    Observation. Licensing observed that water accessible to children was 55 degrees Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of persons in care and must be corrected immediately. Licensee stated that they will supervise the children while using the bathroom until a water regulator can be purchased and installed. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

    Corrective action. Ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49 degrees Celsius.

    Corrective action. Ensure that the entire outdoor play area is enclosed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children and will ensure children are free from harm.
