    A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

    Observation. Licensing observed the following items during today's visit - corrected by staff during inspection: *Knives were found stored in an unlocked drawer accessible to children. Staff immediately removed the knives and placed them on a higher shelf inaccessible to children. *The door to the laundry unit was not locked. This has been cited in previous reports. Staff locked the door during the inspection. *The paper towel dispenser could not be opened, preventing staff from refilling it. Licensing observed children washing their hands without paper towels available for drying. Staff provided individual paper towels during the inspection. *An alcohol sanitizing bottle was stored on the second level of the washroom cabinet, accessible to children. Staff immediately removed the bottle and placed it on a higher shelf inaccessible to children. Licensing observed the following items for outdoor play space during today's visit: *Food wrappers and garbage were found throughout the yard, attracting insects to the area. *An animal trap was observed in close proximity to areas accessible to children, posing a safety hazard.

    Observation. Licensing observed a small climber with an attached slide located in close proximity to a table, which does not provide the required 6-foot clearance around the climber.

    Observation. The Licensee informed Licensing that during the process of cutting tree branches, a fallen branch broke the fence. The Licensee confirmed that they are currently in the process of fixing the fence. Licensing also observed a gap behind the wooden storage house with screws protruding from the wood pieces, raising concerns about potential hazards as it is accessible to children.

    Observation. Licensing reviewed the emergency supplies and both the food and water were expired.
