  Observation. Licensing observed that a child requiring additional support does not have a care plan in place.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following in the JK2 room: *A exacto-knife was found in the first drawer located by the adult sink. The drawer had no locked and is accessible to children. *Adult medication was found in the second drawer located by the adult sink. The drawer had no locked and is accessible to children.

  The licensee has written parental consent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness, in cases where the parent cannot immediately be reached. [CCLR Sec. 57(3)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing reviewed a sample of 34 children's emergency consent forms and observed that one child was missing parental consent to contact a medical practitioner.

  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. Licensing observed: * A sink in a classroom to have grime build up all around the sink, this requires a deep clean. * The nap bedding is being stored in bags piled up at the corner of the room and bedding is touching one another, this poses a risk for Cross contamination.

  The licensee has written, parental consent to release a child to someone other than the parent. [CCLR Sec. 57(3)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing observed some children's files to be missing an emergency contact other than the parents.

  Maintenance of Equipment: A log is kept of all inspections, maintenance and repairs. [Director of Licensing Standard of Practice - Safe Play Space]

  Observation. LO was informed that inspection were done however written records were not maintained. Manager will implement a corrective action plan and submit for licensing review.
