  Observation. The landscaping fabric is exposed causing a tripping hazard in the wood chips area of the yard. The heater in the south room was very hot to the touch.

  Observation. There was one staff present who did not have their certificate posted.

  Observation. The heater in the south room was very hot to the touch. In one nap room there are loose cords hanging done and accessible to children. The landscaping fabric is exposed causing a tripping hazard in the wood chips area of the yard.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. There are two chairs that have torn and worn fabric coverings making it impossible to adequately clean and sanitize.

  Observation. There is a black chair with a vinyl type covering, it is worn. This piece of furniture would not be able to be properly cleaned or sanitized. There are bi-fold doors in a nap / play room that do not have restrictors and could be a pinching hazard.

  The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

  Observation. There is insufficient sand in the sandbox, the landscaping fabric is visible. The area around the sand box originally was wood chips but now there are very few wood chips, the landscaping fabric is visible and creates a tripping hazard, there is a large amount of sand on the ground and on the ground in the playhouse structure. This area is uncovered and creates an area where animals could pollute the materials with their waste.

  Observation. There is a large bin on the back porch with some emergency supplies. Theses supplies are insufficient. The bin that these items are stored in would be very difficult to transport.

  Observation. The back fence is showing signs of aging, paint peeling, rotting wood, chipping and splintering. Several areas show wear and tear.

  Observation. In the nap room there is a crib up against the wall, the wall has a cord on it but the hardware holding the cord up was loose and the cord could easily be pulled into the crib. Gates were not working or closing easily or properly.

  Observation. Some children were missing an alternate pick up person who is not the parent and immunization records for all children were not present.
