Observation. Criminal record check results for an adult resident of the home have recently expired. New or shared results must be submitted to Licensing, and a system created for tracking expiry dates, in order to prevent expired results in the future.

Observation. A system for logging minor incidents exists, however all minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events must be recorded, no matter how minor they may seem. Any incident, illness or injury that is reported to parents must be written down in the minor incident log. A system for recording all incidents is required.

Observation. The temperature of the refrigerator where children's food is stored is higher than 4 degrees Celsius. A method of storing children's food at a temperature below 4 degrees is required.

Observation. Licensee's criminal record check expired in June 2023. Valid criminal record check results must be obtained immediately.

Observation. Very few minor incidents have been recorded. A method of recording any accident, illness or unexpected event that is reported to parents is required. Attendance records for the day of inspection were missing the children's arrival times. This was corrected during the inspection.

Observation. Observations: Licensee is appropriately trained and experienced to operate a Family Child Care Facility. First Aid and CRC for Licensee is current. Contravention: Licensee's partner's CRC has expired. The CRC will need to be reprocessed or current SD10 CRC shared with Interior Health

Observation. Observation: Facility appears to be safe and in good repair - hot water measured below 49°C and fridge temperature below 4° C. Contravention The FLO was measuring the hot water from the tap where the children wash their hands. The water was slow to drain . Some debris came up and was swirling around.
