- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Licensing officer observed the following: - the handrail on the stairs leading to the children's outdoor space is not secure - pet feces throughout the children's outdoor space - recycling bins stacked in the children's outdoor space which could pose a hazard if they were to fall - a few soiled fabric pet toys in the children's outdoor space - a few pieces of garbage in the children's outdoor space, including a plastic bag and some pieces of torn foam
Corrective action. Ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times.
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation. Licensing Officer observed the following: - An essential oil diffuser placed on a shelf with an unsecured cord within children's reach, posing a potential entanglement risk. The Licensee removed the cord from children's reach during the inspection. - Several cords and a cleaning spray bottle were potentially accessible to children in the bedroom where a child naps. During the inspection, the Licensee moved the child who was not yet asleep to another area without access to these items. - cleaning supplies stored in the main bathroom in an unsecured cabinet, within children's reach and potentially accessible to children - cleaning supplies stored in the kitchen in an unsecured cabinet, within children's reach and potentially accessible to children - cooking knives stored in the kitchen in an unsecured cabinet, within children's reach and potentially accessible to children
Corrective action. Ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

Observation. The Licensee has been practicing and documenting alternating monthly fire drills and earthquake drills.
