A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Baseboard heaters were uncovered and accessible to children in care - when the heaters are used they become hot to the touch.
Corrective action. Staff said the heaters will be addressed.

EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Furniture, equipment, and/or fixtures were in disrepair, including facility laminate flooring, which was missing pieces and peeling in the main play area.
Corrective action. Staff said the flooring will be addressed.
