  Observation. Upon inspection the hot water temperature was 52.3 degrees Celsius

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Upon inspection, the daily attendance record was not entered for April 7, 8, 11 and 12th.

  Corrective action. Please ensure there is a record showing daily attendance records.

  A licensee must ensure that each piece of furniture or equipment for sleeping (c) is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it.

  Observation. Two preschool-aged children were in ‘play yards’ during nap time. Manufacturer’s instructions state that they are not to be used for a child who is able to climb out.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the furniture used for children’s sleeping is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it.

  A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Cleaning products were accessible to children in the bathroom and in the kitchen. An empty plastic shopping bag was accessible to children in the kitchen. Licensee removed these items during the inspection.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that children do not have access to hazardous substances.

  A licensee must provide to children a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that (c) complies with the program standards set out in Schedule G.

  Observation. Two preschool-aged children were eating their snacks in high chairs, which does not allow for a child to come and go without adult assistance.

  Corrective action. Please promote the development of self-help skills.
