Observation. Upon inspection there was a set of monkey bars attached to a swing set that had missing screws and some screws only partially screwed in.

11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as either Preschool (30 Months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age), must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to (a) a covered container for soiled clothing.
Observation. Upon inspection, there was an uncovered garbage in the washroom, away from the change table with diapers in it.
Corrective action. Please ensure there is a covered container for soiled diapers.
15010 - CCLR s.14(4)(a) - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.
Observation. Criminal Record Check on file was done through the RCMP. Per Licensing requirements, the criminal record check needs to be conducted through the Criminal Record Review Program.
Corrective action. Please ensure all staff have a criminal record check through the Criminal Record Review Program.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
Observation. Immunization status was not obtained for one or more employees.
Corrective action. Please ensure the immunization status is obtained for all employees.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Children were not using single use towels to dry their hands after hand hygiene. The Licensee provided paper towels to dry children's hands while licensing was present.
Corrective action. Ensure single use towels are available for use at the facility.
