A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

Observation. Staff provided a record of fire drills; however, a record of annual emergency drills has not been kept and staff confirmed that the annual drill has not been practiced.

Corrective action. The licensee will ensure that the emergency plan is reviewed and practiced each year by both programs and a record kept.

In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (a) keep in a single place at the community care facility the records referred to in sections 56 to 58.

Observation. A record indicating that the following staff records have been obtained was not on site for Licensing review: staff references, ECE Registry validation and immunization status.

Corrective action. The licensee will ensure that all staff records are on site for Licensing review.

A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

Observation. A care plan for a child requiring additional support has not been created.

Corrective action. The licensee will ensure to create a care plan, in consultation with a child's parent, for any child requiring additional support.

In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (a) keep in a single place at the community care facility the records referred to in sections 56 to 58.

Observation. A staff explained that all staff records have been obtained and are kept off site. A record of documents obtained was not available on site for Licensing to review.

Corrective action. A record of staff documentation will be kept on site.

A licensee must ensure that each employee (c) practices implementing the emergency plan at least once each year.

Observation. A staff confirmed that ther emergency plan has not been practiced at least once each year.

Corrective action. Staff will practice and record the emergency plan.

A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A record of monthly fire drills that have been practiced has not been kept. A staff created a record during the inspection.

Corrective action. Ensure to keep a record respecting compliance with section 22(2)(b) and (c).

A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (f) a log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events involving children, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H.

Observation. A staff explained that a log has been kept; however, was unable to locate the log for Licensing to review.

Corrective action. Ensure to maintain a log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events that is available for Licensing to review.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. Of the four children's records reviewed; two did not include immunization status.

Corrective action. Ensure to obtain immunization status for each child upon registration.
