Observation. Care plans were reviewed. Care plans are currently being updated by a newly appointed supported development coordinator. A supported care worker is being employed to support the implementation of the care plans. Meetings with parents/guardians are still to occur. The Manager stated all care plans would be updated by July 02, 2025, and meetings with parents/guardians would occur soon after. Once all care plans have been reviewed in conjunction with the child's parents/guardians please inform Licensing. This contravention remains outstanding. All child registration records were reviewed. All required information has now been recorded. Resolved All digital images were reviewed. All children have a current digital image that could be used to identify them in an emergency. Resolved

Observation. The monthly fire drill log was reviewed. The fire drill was practiced in the month of May; however, the practice was not recorded on the fire drill log. Accurate records are required to be kept by the Licensee. Submit by June 12, 2025, confirmation that the fire drill log has been updated.
- C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical
Observation. Employee records were reviewed. Two employee's working with the children held criminal record checks completed through the RCMP. All employee's working in ratio with children are required to hold a valid criminal record check completed through the Criminal Record Review Program. Submit by June 12, 2025, confirmation that all employee's criminal record checks have been completed and added to their employee file. While some children were being transported, they did not have immediate access to an employee who held a valid first aid and CPR certificate. Valid first aid and CPR ensure employees have the skills required in the event of an emergency. Submit by June 12, 2025, confirmation and evidence that children have immediate access to a person with valid first aid and CPR while in care.

Observation. The use of emergency restraint used with a child was not reported. When a child is involved in an incident described in Schedule H, it must be reported to Licensing within 24 hours. Submit by June 12, 2025, the reportable incident from January 2025 regarding the use of emergency restraint. Child records were reviewed. Several were missing their medical insurance number, and one child was missing the name and contact details of a medical practitioner . Ensure child records are obtained prior to a child starting. Submit by June 12, 2025, confirmation that the missing information has been added to each child's file. Digital images used to identify a child in an emergency were reviewed. The digital image for two children were missing. The Licensee is required to keep a current digital image of each child that can be used to identify the child in an emergency. Submit by June 12, 2025, written confirmation and evidence that the missing digital images have been added to the children’s records. Several children's care plans were reviewed. - The majority did not contain evidence that the plan had been made in consultation with the child’s parent. Consultation with the child’s parent and other persons the parent requests, is required for each care plan. Submit by June 12, 2025, confirmation that the required consultation has occurred. - There was no evidence that care plans are being updated. Care plans must be monitored and updated as required to ensure the child is receiving the support they require to participate in the program. Submit by June 12, 2025, confirmation the plans have been updated to reflect progress made, and any adjustments required.
