Observation. - A child size table is propped up on its side against a wall and is accessible to the children in care. To prevent tipping and potential injury, ensure that furniture used by the children is stored safely. *Resolved during the inspection.*
- C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical
Observation. - A staff file is missing evidence of more than one reference check. A person must not be employed unless the Licensee has obtained the required records including information that can attest to the person's character. *Correct by: March 20, 2026.*

- C1.1 - Does the licensee continually inform licensing of any significant changes to the structure or operation of the facility?Critical
Observation. - During the inspection, the Licensing Officer was informed that the manager for the facility had changed as of October 11, 2024. The licensee contact for the facility had also changed. Licensing was not notified of these changes at the time they occurred. - The name of the new manager was not displayed in the facility as required.
- C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical
Observation. - The monthly fire drill for September 2024 was not recorded. - The required record for the large scale evacuation annual practice was not made available for the Licensing Officer to review at the time of the inspection. The Licensing Officer and the manager discussed the required policies and procedures currently in place. The manager confirmed that no revisions to these polices had occurred since the last routine inspection.

Observation. - Some staff files were missing required documents such as evidence of character reference checks.

Observation. - Some child records were missing required information such as doctor/clinic contact info and confirmation that emergency contacts listed (other than the parents) are also authorized to pick up the child. - Some child records were missing written permission from parents to call for an ambulance. Other record keeping systems such as the daily attendance and minor incident log were reviewed by the Licensing Officer and they appeared satisfactory.
- C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical
Observation. - A thermometer is needed to ensure that the fridge temperature does not exceed 4C for safe food storage and to prevent food borne illness. - Ensure that generic cleaning spray bottles are clearly labelled. *Resolved during the inspection.
