  Observation. Name of manager was not posted in a prominent place.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon inspection of the outdoor play space, Licensing observed a free standing shelving unit that posed a risk of tipping as it was not secured. Systems in place to ensure the outdoor play space is free of hazards appears to be ineffective. In the outdoor play space, Licensing observed materials considered to be unsafe.

• C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

  Observation. During a complaint investigation it was determined that the facility supervision and field trip policies are not adequate to meet required Child Care Licensing Regulations.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. The plastic on the links of the swing set is in disrepair as it is all cracked and breaking off. The plastic in spots can be fairly sharp. The small side table with drawers in the Multi-age program does not have drawer stops and could present a hazard. A bolt on the climber is exposed with sharp edges. This needs to be made child safe as discussed. The above has been corrected during inspection.

  Observation. Today walkways and a ramp were found to be very slippery. Ensure the walkways are always safe. It was discussed that adding this task to the daily outdoor checklist could prevent future slips. The slippery walkways were salted immediately during this inspection.
