February 19, 2026Routine Inspection4 non-critical
  • C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

Observation. - The annual practice of the large scale evacuation plan is not recorded. The record of the large scale evacuation plan practice is part of the Licensee's fire drill system that has been accepted by Licensing. To ensure that the evacuation plan is practiced annually as required, the practice must be recorded. *Correct by: March 13, 2026.* Other required policies and procedures are in place and appear satisfactory. The evacuation kit is complete with adequate emergency supplies as per the Licensee's evacuation plan.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

Observation. - The criminal record check results for an employee, who is present in the facility twice a month, requires completion. Anyone who is ordinarily present while children are in care must have a valid criminal record check from the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). For employees of the Licensee, the criminal record check results from the CRRP must be valid (i.e. renewed every 5 years) and must be addressed directly to the Licensee. *Correct by: February 27, 2026.* - The large scale evacuation plan is not practiced annually by the Licensee. Practicing the large scale evacuation plan annually ensures safety, compliance, and efficiency when an emergency occurs. Annual drills are essential to transform written procedures into familiar actions, thereby reducing panic and minimizing risks of injury. *Correct by: March 13, 2026.* The Licensee's first aid certificate is up to date and the criminal records checks for the Licensee, and the Licensee's family member (who is living in the home and who is over the age of 12 years), are valid.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

Observation. - Some of the daily attendance records do not indicate when a child is absent. Accurate attendance records are vital for ensuring every child is accounted for during emergency evacuation drills and/or during daily transitions. *Correct by: February 20, 2026.* Other records such as child registration and emergency records, play space inspection logs, medication administration records, and minor incident logs appear satisfactory.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

Observation. - The fire extinguishers have not been inspected in the past 12 months. Inspecting the fire safety equipment annually provides assurance that the extinguishers are in good working order in the event of a fire. *Correct by: March 13, 2026.* - Large toy storage shelves, that are open and accessible to the children in the outside play yard, are not secure. To prevent tipping, ensure that the storage shelves are sturdy and secure. *Correct by: February 23, 2026.*
