    Observation. It was observed a diaper change mat had a tear which does not allow for adequate cleaning and sanitization. This could increase the risk of cross contamination and spread of germs. Submit by June 23, 2025, evidence that this issue has been corrected.

    Observation. It was observed equipment was being stored on top of water cooler posed a risk of falling on children. This was corrected during inspection.

    Observation. It was observed that a care plan was not developed for a child that requires extra support. Care plans must be available so that staff can review and follow the directions in order to ensure the well being of children who require modifications or additional supports. Ensure the care plan is developed in consultation with the parents and any other relevant professionals.

    Observation. The complaint outlined that several staff and children had recently been ill with Covid19 and these incidents were not reported to licensing. During inspection, the licensee shared that they were not aware of this reporting requirement, therefore the required incident reports were not submitted within 24 hours.

    Observation. Upon review of employee records it was noted that two needed Immunization Status statements. One was added during inspection. Discussed a system to ensure employee records are complete.

    Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records, and discussion with the manager it was determined that some child records required further information including: doctor's name and number (or clinic/ER), Care Card numbers and a care plan. Discussed the care plan requirements for children with medical conditions as well as behavioural conditions and allergies. While a care plan was developed while Licensing was on site, it is still to be reviewed with the parents, including anyone the parents feel appropriate. Discussed a system to ensure child records are complete.
