• A licensee must ensure that children are adequately supervised by qualified employees in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of each child.

  Observation. The level of supervision in the facility bathroom and in the bathrooms during field trips is not adequate.

  Corrective action. Submit a corrective action plan.

  Observation. The licensee did not notify a parent or emergency contact that a child was involved in or may have been involved in a reportable incident.

  Corrective action. Submit a corrective action plan.

• A licensee must notify the medical health officer within 24 hours after (a) a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H while under the care or supervision of the licensee.

  Observation. The licensee did not notify Licensing within 24 hours as required that a child was involved in or may have been involved in a reportable incident.

  Corrective action. Submit a corrective action plan.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Every classroom has evidence of chipped paint in the shelves and walls. Licensee has recently painted the facility but it has not remedied the situation.

  Corrective action. Ensure the facility is in good repair,

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Air conditioning unit is stored and used on the window ledge and present a fall hazard for children in care.

  Corrective action. Ensure air conditioning unit is secured when in use.

  Observation. First aid supplies in the offsite first aid kits and some of the classroom kits require replacement various items
