    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Standing water was observed in the outdoor play area. Manager said it had been there since the day before.

    Corrective action. The manager removed the standing water upon inspection and will check the outdoor play area and ensure standing water is not present when children are in care

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The lock on a cupboard containing dish soap and a bottle of cleaning liquid was broken making these items accessible to children.

    Corrective action. Please make sure children do not have access to hazardous items.

    Observation. The fire extinguisher needed to be serviced on July 17, 2019.

    Observation. The emergency bag does not contain enough food for all the children for up to 72 hours. Discussion took place regarding appropriate food to have in the bag (eg granola bars, yoghurt tubes, food for children who have food allergies)

    Corrective action. Please make sure there is enough age appropriate food in the emergency bag for up to 72 hours for all the children.

    Observation. Time in/out and absences have not been recorded on a consistent basis in 2021. The follwin were observed: No time in/out or absences were recorded from January 13-15, 18-22, 25-29 and from February 1-4.

    Corrective action. Arrival time, departure time and absences must be recorded for each child every day.
