A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. One children's file was missing an MSP number

Corrective action. The manager will obtain the MSP number and ensure children's files are complete

Observation. 4 children's files were reviewed, one child was missing MSP number.

Corrective action. Manager said all children files will be checked to make sure they are complete.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

Observation. Licensing reviewed two staff files and observed that, while one staff's CRC was not expired, it was not addressed to this facility. The Manager informed that the sharing process has been initiated.

Corrective action. Manager said that when hiring new staff site specific CRC will be applied before they start employment.
