  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Windex is being used to clean the facility. This product does not sanitize.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure that a product that sanitizes is used to clean the facility.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: Areas of the fence panels in the back yard are missing, some fence panels are starting to rot, a fence at the top of a drop zone has been removed and the latch on the front gate is missing and the gate does not close.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure that the back yard fence and the front gate are repaired and that the fencing at the top of the drop zone is put back in place.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Observation. Files for eight children were reviewed. One file did not have contact information for an emergency contact.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that contact information for an emergency contact is available for all children.
