  Observation. Fire extinguisher has not been serviced annually.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

  Observation. A child who recently requires an epi-pen's care plan has not been updated to reflect course of actions and when to administer the epi-pen.

  Corrective action. Manager will update the care plan with parents to reflect the use of the epi-pen.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Upon inspection of the outdoor play area, it was observed that a section of the wooden fence had multiple broken slats. The Manager has put up a snow fence as a temporary measure to enclose the area.

  Corrective action. The Manager will fix the broken fence.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the entire outdoor play area is (a) enclosed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and will ensure that children are free of harm.

  Observation. Upon inspection of the outdoor play area, it was observed that a part of the wooden fence had multiple slats missing and in need of repair. The Manager has put up wooden panels to reduce the gap in the fence but the remaining spaces pose as an entrapment hazard.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the outdoor play area is enclosed in a manner that will ensure that children are free of harm.
