STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)
Observation. On review of four staff files, two were missing certificate validations.
Corrective action. Manager said she will obtain validations for the two staff.

STAFFING
A licensee must ensure that each employee (b) practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month.
Observation. Review of school age and preschool drill records, Licensing observed that the emergency evacuation drill was not recorded. Manager said that they have yet to practice the drill but have a policy and procedure in place.
Corrective action. Please practice emergency drill on an anual basis and record appropriately. Please provide a corrective action plan.
