- RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. During the routine inspection it was noted that on two different days the time of departure for one child was not noted.
Corrective action. Please ensure the arrival and departure times of children attending the facility are recorded according to the attendance of the child at the facility.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Licensing observed areas in the kitchen and bathroom that were visibly soiled, including the following: - bathroom walls, door, floor, toilet and sink - kitchen appliances, cabinet doors, wall and front door The diaper change bad is torn, exposing the foam which is porous and not able to be cleaned and sanitized.
Corrective action. Ensure that the facility, furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the entire outdoor play area is (a) enclosed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and will ensure that children are free of harm.
Observation. Licensing observed that a gate in the fence, and the attached post, along the side of the house leading to the children's outdoor space was no longer secure and in place. The Licensee explained that this was caused by a windstorm that occured yesterday and the children are not accessing this area currently.
Corrective action. Ensure that the entire outdoor play area is enclosed.

A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].
Observation. Licensee was unable to provide a record indicating practice of the emergency plan at least once each year.
Corrective action. Ensure to keep a record indicating practice of the emergency plan.

Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.
Observation. At the time of this inspection there were 3 children under 24 months present. As per Schedule E of the Child Care Licensing Regulation 2 children under 24 months are permitted where there is no child under 12 months. Licensing discussed the temporary placement process.
Corrective action. Licensee to submit a request for temporary placement.
