  Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (b) the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. A staff members in one group of children is not qualified as a Responsible Adult.

  Corrective action. The Licensee will ensure that the ratio of qualified staff to children is in compliance with Schedule E

• POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. There are not enough emergency supplies for 72 hours. Batteries in the kit show signs of corrosion and several first aid supplies have past their expiry date.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure that the emergency kit contains enough supplies including food and water for all children for up to 72 hours.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person.

  Observation. Evidence of references being verified for three staff was not available.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure a minimum of two references are obtained and verified for all staff.

  Observation. A resume was not available in three staff files.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure a resume is available for all staff.

  Observation. Immunization status was not available for two staff.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure immunization status is available for all staff.

  Observation. A criminal record check was not available for one staff. The Assistant Manager it had been applied for although a copy was not at the facility.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a criminal record check is available for all staff.
