    Observation. 2 employees' tumblers (warm to the touch) were on a low cabinet, accessible to children.

    Corrective action. Hot beverages must be kept out of children's reach.

    A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): There was no record of the emergency plan being practiced in the past 12 months.

    Corrective action. The manager explained that the emergency plan was practiced in Oct/2025, so she documented this on the fire drill system & emergency plan log.

    Observation. The manager's & 2 employees' CRCs are not site-specific.

    Corrective action. The manager said she will apply to share these 3 CRCs. In the meantime, the manager & these employees cannot work alone w/ children or assist w/ diapering/toileting.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Upon inspection, Licensing observed the following: - A drama play structure was unstable. This poses potential danger to children.

    Observation. Upon inspection, licensing observed a bleach bottle was stored in a cabinet in one of the program rooms. It is at children's level and accessible to children and no lock was installed/applied. (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION)

    Corrective action. The Manager she will install a lock to lock the cabinet.

    Observation. Upon inspection, the Manager said fire drills (monthly) and emergency drill (yearly) were practiced but were not recorded down.

    Corrective action. The Manager said she will ensure to record down when fire drills and emergency drill are being practiced.

    Observation. Licensing observed fire drill system is not prominently displayed but one is created.

    Corrective action. The Manager said she will display the fire drill system in a prominent place.

    The licensee must (a) develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

    Observation. Licensing observed an emergency medication present but a care plan not developed in consultation with the parent or any person requested by the parent.

    Corrective action. The Manager said she will develop one with the parents.

    A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

    Observation. Upon reviewing four staff files, one staff's criminal record check on file is not site specific to the facility. It was sited for another organization. One criminal record check was not obtained for one of the staffs.

    Corrective action. The Manager said she will obtain site specific criminal record check for the staffs. In the meantime, the two staffs will be supervised by another staff while working with children.
