Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (b) the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

Observation. An Infant and Toddler Licensed Educator is not available during the last half hour of the operating hours

Corrective action. Manager said she will ensure an Infant and Toddler Licensed educator is available for the duration of the operating hours.

A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

Observation. Fire extinguisher is overdue for service. Indicator is still in green zone.

Corrective action. Manager said she will replace it immediately.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

Observation. The children's absences were not being recorded

Corrective action. Manager said she will ensure the children's attendance are recorded correctly

A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

Observation. A care plan was not created with the parents for one of the children who requires emergency medication

Corrective action. Manager said she will create a care plan with parents.

The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

Observation. A criminal record check for a person over the age of 12 who is ordinarily present is not available.

Corrective action. Ensure that CRC is obtained for all residents of the dwelling.
