A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The name of the manager is not posted in the facility.

Corrective action. The manager posted her name during this inspection.

Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.

Observation. Care is provided to more than 24 children in one group when children in kindergarten and Grade one are present. This is repeat noncompliance and was noted on Routine Inspection #WBET-DEGVGW dated March 5, 2026.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure that if children in kindergarten or Grade 1 are present the group size will be no more than 24 children in one room and any other children will be cared for in another room.

A licensee must do all of the following: (b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote (i) the health, safety and dignity of persons in care,

Observation. The manager was unable to locate the facility copy of the Community Care & Assisted Living Act, the Child Care Licensing Regulation or the facility policies that are required by Licensing.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure all staff have access the copies of the legislation and the facility policies and are trained in how to implement them.

The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

Observation. Two care plans was not reviewed annually with the parent or any person requested to by the parent.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure all care plans are reviewed annually.

Observation. The facility licence and name of the manager were not on display in the library which is the primary room used to provide care.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure the facility licence and the name of the manager are posted in the library.

Observation. Care i s being provided to 25 children in one group when children in kindergarten or grade one are present.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure that if children in kindergarten or grade one are present the group size will be no more than 24 children and other children will be cared for in another room.

A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.

Observation. Care plans for five children do not include the course of action recommended by health care professionals for a child requiring additional support.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure all care plans show what actions need to be taken by staff.

A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (c) the resources to be made available to the child requiring extra support by the licensee, including (i) any adaptation of the community care facility necessary to ensure the child's safety or comfort.

Observation. Medication listed in a care plan for one child has expired.

Corrective action. The manager will ensure that all medications have a current expiry date.

A licensee must replace an absent employee.

Observation. The managers last day at the facility was January 12, 2024 and has been absent for more than 30 consecutive days.

Corrective action. The Licensee must replace a manger who is absent for more than 30 consecutive days with a person qualified to be the manager.
