A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. Floor board in one corner of the deck, next to the playhouse, has a gap where a child's foot could get caught, posing a tripping hazard.

Corrective action. Licensee said they will put a wooden piece in there in the coming week.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. Of 8 files reviewed, Immunization record of 3 children had not been recorded in the file.

Corrective action. Licensee will collect these this week.

A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): In the drawer next to the sink where children wash hands there was a small bottle of perfume, and small keys, posing risk for ingesting or chocking.

Corrective action. This was corrected during the inspection

Observation. Of 5 children's registration files reviewed, 1 file did not contain the date of birth, and 3 files did not contain immunization status.

Corrective action. Licensee said they will obtain the information for the children's records today.
