One was missing name and telephone number of medical practitioner. Manager corrected during inspection.
Corrective action. Ensure all children have emergency contact other than the parent on file and name and telephone number of medical practitioner.

Observation. Licensing observed that a Corrective Action Plan included a documentation log to mitigate the risk of lead in water was not kept. Proposed Manager indicated the water was flushed and filters replaced, but they had forgotten to record it on the log.
Corrective action. Ensure that all corrective action plans are followed.
3080 - CCALA 7(1)(b)(i) - 3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Entanglement)
Observation. Licensing used the entanglement device and detected a entanglement hazard off the right side of the yellow slide used by the School Age program. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. A plan for corrective action is children in care would not use the slide until corrected. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been completed and implemented.
Corrective action. Ensure that slides are free from entanglement hazards.

Observation. Licensing measured ground surfacing at 4 inches in depth for equipment 8.5 feet in height.
Corrective action. Ensure protective surfacing is adequate for the height of equipment.

Observation. Licensing observed a gap measuring 4.5 inches on a outdoor gate in the play area of the kids cottage.

Observation. Licensing observed one epi-pen accessible to children in care.
Corrective action. Ensure that a child's medication is not accessible to any child, except that a child may have access to his or her own medication if the child's parent has instructed the licensee to permit this.

Observation. Licensing observed that a fire drill was not recorded since September 29, 2021 in the Kids Cove room and since March 11, 2022 in the Langford room.
Corrective action. Ensure that each employee practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month.

Corrective action. Ensure that a certificate for an educator or an assistant is verified.
