  Observation. Licensing observed the on-site outdoor playground was not used due to the winter muddy ground. Licensee stated she went to a off-site playground for daily active play.

  Corrective action. Ensure Licensing is notified immediately of any change in information provided with documents submitted with application.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the daily attendance was last recorded on December 12, 2022. This item was corrected at time of inspection.

  Corrective action. Ensure a record of daily attendance is kept current.

  Observation. Licensing performed an audit of three children's files this date. One file was missing consent to release to someone other than the parent. This item was corrected at time of inspection.

  Corrective action. Ensure children's files contain consent to release to someone other that than the parent.

  3070 - CCLR 57(3)(b)

• A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

  Observation. Licensing tested one sinks where children access hot water and the temperature was 52.2° Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. The Licensee stated children would be supervised during hand washing until the temperature can be brought back into compliance. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

• A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person

  Observation. One staff file audited. One staff person had expired Criminal Record Check.

  Corrective action. Ensure all staff has valid CRCs on file.

• The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

  Observation. One person over the age of 12 ordinarily present had an expired Criminal Record Check.

  Corrective action. Ensure all persons over the age of 12 ordinarily present have valid CRCs on file.
